Tamworth Mountain Bike Park

Tamworth Mountain Bikers are excited to bring back the Triple Event Weekend for its third consecutive year.

Across three days, the event will feature school racing, cross-country competition and a round of the 2026 AusCycling NSW/ACT XCO State Series, attracting riders and families from across regional NSW and beyond.

The weekend is designed for riders of all ages and abilities — from first-time school riders through to experienced competitors.

The event will also include camping, food, coffee and community activities across the weekend.

 

Friday August 28th 2026 - NSW School MTB Series

The NSW Schools MTB Series provides students with the opportunity to participate in mountain biking in a fun, safe and supportive environment.

Schools of all sizes are encouraged to get involved, with the event welcoming both primary and secondary students across a range of abilities and experience levels.

The focus is on participation, confidence, skill development and enjoying mountain biking.

Saturday August 29th 2026 - XCC Cross Country Racing

Saturday features a club event of XCC racing — a short, fast and exciting cross-country format that is spectator friendly and suitable for a range of rider abilities.

The event provides riders with the opportunity to challenge themselves while enjoying the Tamworth trails and event atmosphere.

Sunday August 30th 2026 - 2026 AusCycling NSW/ACT XCO State Series

Sunday will host a round of the 2026 AusCycling NSW/ACT XCO State Series.

Sunday will feature a round of the 2026 AusCycling NSW/ACT XCO State Series, bringing high-level cross-country racing to the Tamworth Mountain Bike Park.

While the event forms part of the official NSW/ACT state series calendar, riders of all abilities are encouraged to get involved, with categories and racing opportunities available across a range of ages and experience levels.

Volunteers Needed

The Triple Event Weekend relies heavily on volunteers and community support.

We are currently seeking volunteers to assist with:

  • Trail and park preparation
  • Track marshalling
  • Event setup and pack down
  • BBQ and catering support
  • Parking assistance
  • General event support
