Trail Information
Tamworth Mountain Bike Park was officially opened in September 2014 thanks to the hard work of the Club Members and the support provided by local businesses and Tamworth Regional Council. Work continues at the park and there are more exciting developments happening in 2023. Come and try out the extensive and varied tracks at the Tamworth Mountain Bike Park.
Kids Track - The 3 Piggies

Yellow Brick Road
- Grade: Easy/Green

Think flow and go. This loop is a great introduction loop that flows you down the the parks western fence line. At the bottom end it rides you in and out of the creek before traversing you back up the hill with some great views of the park to the Picnic area. Basically Fenceline is a two wheeled roller coaster – so hang on and enjoy the ride
Hillside

Similar to the super flowy Yellow Brick Road, but one shade darker green in grading. Hillside introduces the concept of switchbacks and rocks to your MTB experience as it runs across the feet of our Central Mountain.
Southpark

Links off Hillside, with some simple flowy. Southpark continues with the concept of switchbacks at the south end of the park.
Creekline
- Grade: Intermediate\Blue

This is our introduction Blue track for anyone who wants a rollicking good time. As the name suggests the Creek is the focus and cross it, ride it and roll it you will. Hang on, keep your eye on where you want to go and stay relaxed on this fast and furious little number.
Secret Valley

If the picnic area is the heart of the park, Secret Valley is its backbone. This Blue track takes you the full width of the park west to east, climbing the northern slopes of Central Mountain before flowing back down and through the sublime and stunning little gorge that is Secret Valley back to the picnic area. Watch out for the challenging little rock garden at its end. For those less adventurous there are “B” lines on all major technical trail features.
Goanna Crawl
- Grade: Intermediate/Blue

Aptly named after the resident Monitors lizards often spotted on the trail, Goanna Crawl, does it exactly as its name suggests. It crawls along, around and up central mountain before a fast scamper back down to the Secret Vally return.
Skyline
- Grade: Intermediate/Blue

They say all good Mountain Bike Parks need a good Skyline Track, and we have a cracker. Linking off Goanna Crawl, this blue track traverses to the top of Central Mountain, cuts back and forth to give you a great view of the region from both sides of your bike before taking on the wild and rocky traversal descents that drop you on the tail of Goanna Crawl
North Hill
- Grade: Intermediate/Blue

This trail has all the hallmarks of an Olympic standard Cross Country circuit; technical climbs, rock drops, fast berms, rock garden, gap jump, and creek crossings all packed in neatly on the Northern Hill bordering the park.
Pha Pha Pindari
- Grade: Difficult/Black

The first of our two black loops, Pha Pha Pindari (Grandpa’s High Ground) has “All Mountain” written all over it. It starts with a 10% gradient 500 metre technical climb followed by a 500 metre fast and furious technical decent. Riders Beware – this is a single Black Diamond Track on steep and rocky terrain with multiple technical trail features, please ride within your limits and if unsure stay off.
Vertical Horizon

Our next big Trail Project for 2015 is Vertical Horizon. It will be the “ying” to the Pha Pha Pindari “”yang”. It will start at the top of Central Mountain with a technical decent that turns off just shy of the top of Pha Pha to climb back up to whence it came. For those more technically addicted gravity driven riders, the decent of Vertical Horizon will be linked to he decent of Pha Pha so as you can ride all the way to the bottom for double the fun.
Pump Track
